Who are we?
Rotaract began as a Rotary International youth programme in 1968 and has now grown into a major Rotary-sponsored organisation with more than 8 800 clubs around the world.
Rotaract is a leadership and community service organisation for young people between 18 and 30. Clubs focus on helping their local communities while having fun and making friends. Rotaracters also support overseas projects and have opportunities to engage in international travel through the Rotaract and Rotary network.
What do we do?
The purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young men and women to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.
Rotaract clubs hold formal meetings twice a month. Club members get together for volunteer work, social events and professional/leadership development workshops. See the FAQ for more information.
See the Projects page for examples of the sorts of things we do.
